Rocco Dubbini, La prospettiva del tempo visivo nello spazio convenzionale, 2004
Bones reconstructed in ceramic marble, 120x600x30cm
Location: Capri, Canonica in the Carthusian Monastery of San Giacomo
The work of Rocco Dubbini marks a portion of space and time created through the composition of thigh bones, inspired by living beings on the evolutionary ladder from dinosaurs. The artist transforms the bones using the technique of 'lost form'. Dubbini uses the act of creation, destruction and rebirth of form to underline similarities with being an artist in the act of creating.
